DIY Stud Holder

I recently outgrew my old stud holder, when the Korean festival came in town and my mom added to my collection.  So I got to thinking…what do I do with all of these things?

I think this is an eyeshadow holder.

This is what I used to use, I think this is an eye shadow holder. Not too effective, but not too bad, either.

I stumbled upon this easy, genius tutorial from Delightfully DIY and wanted to give it a try!  The instructions are on her tutorial, so I am just posting the pictures of my finished product! 🙂

The box I used, which is the tin that my uncle sent us as a gift from his trip to England.

This thing is so cute!

I used these sheets of felt that we had laying around, and then wrapped them in another piece of fabric.       I wanted to use this fabric from my favorite dress. It got so worn out that I had to throw it away, but repurposing some of the fabric made me feel better about it.

I wanted to use this fabric from my favorite dress that I was about to finally throw out on top of the felt pieces. On second thought, I would NOT have used this fabric for this project, since the geometric design was difficult to work with and get lined up correctly.

Although this tin isn't ideal because of its orientation, the pencils fit the other way and I decided to just go ahead and use it.

I didn’t glue the rolls down to the tin.  Although this tin isn’t ideal because of its orientation, the pencils fit the other way and I decided to just go ahead and use it because I love the tin so much. And now it might be obvious why the plaid material wasn’t ideal to work with.

The finished product! I love how the tin has a lid to keep out dust, and that I have room to put my rings in there, too.

It’s a little messy, but here’s the finished product! I love how the tin has a lid to keep out dust, and that I have room to put my rings in there, too.

Now to fill up the empty rows 🙂
