Ramadan Craft: Festive Candle Holder

imageI was inspired to make these votive candle holders after browsing the Internet one day for holiday decoration ideas. The candle holders can be bought from your local Dollar Store. These are sure to bring a festive and sparkly look to your dinner table and are wonderful for both Ramadan and Eid!

Supplies:

  • Glass votives
  • Foam brush
  • Mod Podge
  • Fine glitter
  • Contact Paper
  • Scissor and/or X-Acto knife
  • Stencil (optional)
  • Candles

Instructions:

imageGather all your supplies.

imageTrace out your pattern onto a piece of contact paper that will be large enough to fit onto the candle holder. I found a pattern of a mosque and moon/star online. After tracing it, I cut it out carefully with a pair of sharp scissors. The mosque pattern I traced was more complex so I cut it out using an X-Acto knife.
